Innovative IC solutions for safe, smart, and connected applications

Leverkusen, May 21, 2026: Once again this year, Elmos Semiconductor SE (FSE: ELG) will be presenting innovative IC solutions for forward-looking applications in automotive and industrial electronics at Sensor+Test in Nuremberg (Hall 1, Booth 1-411) from June 9 to 11, 2026. The focus is on secure, precise, and application-specific IC solutions – ranging from cybersecurity to reliable ultrasonic flow measurement.

Optical Sensing for Comfort and Safety
With highly integrated sensor ICs for rain, light, and tunnel detection, Elmos supports key comfort and safety functions in vehicles. The solutions enable reliable detection of various environmental and weather conditions – from rain intensity to dynamically changing light conditions – and thus lay the foundation for automated functions such as wiper, headlight, and tunnel control. Intelligent signal processing directly within the IC largely compensates for external interference such as sunlight, reflections, or artificial light sources. As a result, the solution ensures stable and precise detection even under demanding real-world operating conditions – while enabling compact and cost-effective system implementation in the vehicle. Particularly noteworthy is the high level of system integration in the Elmos Rain-Light-Tunnel solution: analog signal acquisition, signal processing in the integrated microcontroller, and the preparation of sensor data for LIN communication are all combined in a single system-on-chip.

Safe Systems for Automotive and Data Communication
Another focus is on solutions for safety-critical applications. In the automotive sector, Elmos offers high-precision sensor ICs for systems such as brake-by-wire and electromechanical braking systems (EMB), which enable reliable and rapid detection and control of brake pressure and force, thereby making an important contribution to vehicle safety. At the same time, Elmos addresses the growing demands for cybersecurity with innovative technologies for secure data processing. The Quantum Random Number Generator (QRNG), which won the German Innovation Award, enables the generation of true random numbers based on quantum mechanical effects, thereby laying the foundation for particularly secure encryption solutions in automotive, industrial, and IoT applications.

For industrial applications, Elmos offers sensor ICs for the precise measurement of physical quantities such as pressure, force, and flow. At the same time, Elmos’ ICs support precise flow measurement, for example in smart metering applications, thereby contributing to greater efficiency, transparency, and resource conservation in industrial processes.
