PRESS RELEASE

Giotto.ai Opens Access to Its AI Model and Operating System for Europe and Switzerland

Following recent restrictions on entry to advanced AI systems, Giotto.ai will provide immediate access to selected institutional partners and public authorities before allowing individual users in July.

Lausanne, Switzerland — 16 June 2026 — Giotto.ai today announced that it is opening immediate access to selected institutional partners and public authorities to its sovereign AI model and operating system, ahead of a broader expansion to individual users in July.

The announcement comes at a turning point for the global AI landscape. Recent restrictions on access to advanced AI systems such as Mythos and Fable have made clear that connecting to frontier AI can no longer be taken for granted. For Europe and Switzerland, this raises a strategic question: how to ensure reliable access to powerful AI systems while preserving control, autonomy and trust.

Giotto.ai’s platform is designed as a sovereign AI model and operating system that can serve enterprises, governments, institutions and, now, individual users. The system can be accessed through hosted Swiss/European infrastructure, deployed on private infrastructure, or delivered through dedicated Giotto-powered workstations and enterprise servers.

While Giotto.ai’s initial roadmap focused primarily on enterprises, governments and institutional deployments, the company believes that access to AI must also become available to individual users in the short term. Giotto.ai will therefore expand clearance in July to individual professionals, researchers, builders, founders, analysts and strategic users.

Europe and Switzerland need reliable access to advanced AI systems they can trust and control,” said Aldo Podestà, CEO of Giotto.ai. “Recent events have shown that dependency on foreign platforms is not only a technical question, but a strategic one. Giotto was built to provide an alternative: powerful AI that remains portable, transparent and under the user’s control.”

For individual users, Giotto.ai will provide browser-based access to its model and operating system through European-hosted infrastructure. Workloads will run on single-GPU infrastructure, offering a simple and transparent way to access Giotto without installing hardware or managing infrastructure.

An important step forward

The initial access program will include selected institutional partners, public authorities, strategic enterprises, existing partners and high-value individual users. These users will help validate the experience before the broader individual-user launch in July.

The expansion represents an important step in Giotto’s access model. The new individual access plan creates a direct entry point for users who need sovereign AI without managing infrastructure.

This is not just another chatbot,” added Podestà.Giotto is a European AI system designed for control, portability and independence. By opening access beyond enterprises and governments, we want to make sovereign AI available to the people who need it most: professionals, builders, researchers and decision makers working in a world where access to intelligence can no longer be assumed.

By opening access first to institutional partners and public authorities, and then to individual users, Giotto.ai aims to support Europe and Switzerland in building a more resilient AI ecosystem, one where access to advanced intelligence does not depend entirely on external platforms, geopolitical decisions or foreign infrastructure.

About Giotto.ai

Giotto.ai is a Swiss AI lab building sovereign AI models and operating systems for enterprises, institutions, governments and individual users. Giotto is designed to run across hosted infrastructure, private infrastructure and dedicated hardware, giving users greater control over how and where intelligence is deployed.

Giotto’s mission is to build advanced AI that is powerful, portable, transparent and controlled by its users.
