Eiffage acquires a majority stake in Hand & Werk to expand its presence in the German data centre market

Press release

Eiffage acquires a majority stake in
Hand & Werk to expand its presence in the German data centre market

Eiffage, through Eiffage Énergie Systèmes’ German subsidiary Salvia, reached on 28 April 2026 an agreement to acquire a 74.9% stake in Hand & Werk, a company specialising in data centre projects in Germany, operating under the DC Blue brand.

Founded in 2019, the company provides turnkey solutions for data centres, ranging from the design and installation of building technical systems to equipment maintenance.

Over recent years, the company has delivered 26 projects, building up its reputation as a leading player in the German market.

With a workforce of 200, Hand & Werk achieved a turnover of €85 million in 2025.

The company’s organisational structure, as well as its management committee, will remain in place, ensuring operational continuity for both customers and partners.

This new acquisition enables Eiffage Énergie Systèmes to expand within the German data centre market, a high-growth segment driven by demand for digital infrastructure, which is a strategic development priority for the division. Furthermore, it strengthens Salvia’s presence in the Rhine-Main region, one of Europe’s primary hubs for data centres. Capitalising on these synergies, Hand & Werk, mainly located in Frankfurt, will leverage Salvia’s existing locations to expand its operations into Düsseldorf, Munich and Berlin, the country’s three other major sector hubs.

Lastly, this acquisition will allow Eiffage Énergie Systèmes to expand its maintenance and service offerings for data centre operators.

The transaction is subject to approval by the German competition authorities and is expected to close within 2026.
