Merger of botario GmbH completed

Munich, 11 August 2026 –  NFON AG, a leading European provider of integrated business communications with a focus on AI-based applications, announces that the merger of botario GmbH into NFON AG, initiated at the end of April 2025, was entered in the commercial register on 4 August 2026. Upon registration, the merger became legally effective. In accordance with the merger agreement, the merger takes effect with economic retroactive effect as of 1 January 2026. NFON AG therefore succeeds to all rights and obligations of botario GmbH by way of universal succession.

By bringing together AI expertise, product development and operational structures within a single company, NFON is strengthening the organisational and technological foundations needed to integrate artificial intelligence even more systematically into platform and product development in the future. This closer integration shortens decision-making and development processes and supports the more rapid implementation of innovative, AI-based business communication solutions for customers and partners.

With the successful integration of botario, NFON is taking a further strategic step towards positioning itself as a European AI-based business communications company.
