hep global Develops 4.1 MWp Solar Park with Battery Storage in BiessenhofenEQS-News: hep global GmbH / Key word(s): Miscellaneous hep global Develops 4.1 MWp Solar Park with Battery Storage in Biessenhofen The solar park is being built on an area of around 3.5 hectares near a railway line in the municipality of Biessenhofen, southwest of Munich. Grid connection and commissioning are scheduled for later this year. Once operational, the solar park is expected to generate 4.7 GWh of climate-friendly electricity annually, enough to supply around 1,380 average German households. A high-performance battery storage system with a storage capacity of 2.8MWh and an output of around 1.4MW complements the facility and ensures maximum energy efficiency. The green electricity storage system enables surplus energy to be stored temporarily and fed into the grid as needed – including during periods of low solar irradiation. Thereby, the Biessenhofen solar park contributes to a more stable and future-proof energy supply. Focus on Renewable Energy Supply in Germany The solar park Biessenhofen is the second project resulting from the strategic partnership between hep global and photovoltaic specialist Volllast GmbH. In January of this year, hep global already announced the development of an 8 MWp solar park in Schongau. Further projects in the region are planned for 2026. With locations in several solar markets worldwide, hep global has been active once again in solar project development in Germany since 2022. Martin Vogt, Chief Project Officer, explains: “Over the past 15 years, hep global has gained extensive experience in developing solar projects in Japan, the USA and Canada. The strategic decision to re-engage strongly in project development in Germany already led to successful project sales in 2025. In 2026, the focus will be on the construction of these projects – with a regional focus on Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg.” Further information and current project updates are available on the project website: https://hepsolar.com/solarpark-biessenhofen 21.04.2026 CET/CEST Dissemination of a Corporate News, transmitted by EQS News - a service of EQS Group.
