EQS-Adhoc: Homann Holzwerkstoffe GmbH revises its full-year forecast: Preliminary half-year figures for 2026 below the previous year’s level due to persistently high start-up losses aEQS-Ad-hoc: HOMANN HOLZWERKSTOFFE GmbH / Key word(s): Forecast / Full year/Results / Half year Homann Holzwerkstoffe GmbH revises its full-year forecast: Preliminary half-year figures for 2026 below the previous year’s level due to persistently high start-up losses at plant in Lithuania and weak demand
Munich, August 14, 2026 – The management of the Homann Holzwerkstoffe GmbH has today decided to revise its full-year forecast in light of weaker-than-expected half-year results. In the first half of the year, Homann Holzwerkstoffe reported provisional revenues in line with the previous year at around EUR 194.4 million (previous year: EUR 195.0 million) and an adjusted EBITDA of EUR -1.4 million (previous year: EUR 22.1 million). The main factors behind the weaker results were subdued demand from the furniture industry, continued high operational start-up losses in Lithuania, and massive cost increases resulting from the Middle East conflict – particularly for chemicals, timber, energy and transport, in some cases exceeding 50% – which weighed on results in the first half of the year. Adjusted for the effect of start-up losses, EBITDA adjusted for currency effects amounted to EUR 13.9 million. Since June, the cost increases have largely been passed on to customers and a slight recovery in demand has been recorded, so that an improvement in the earnings situation is expected in the second half of 2026. In response to the lower-than-expected earnings performance in the first half of the year, management has decided to limit start-up losses by temporarily adjusting capacity at the plant in Pagiriai, Lithuania, until the market recovers on a sustainable basis. The company expects this measure alone to reduce operating losses at the plant in Pagiriai in the second half of the year by between EUR 5 and EUR 6 million compared with the first half of 2026. For the 2026 financial year, the Homann Holzwerkstoffe GmbH now expects revenues to be roughly on a par with the previous year (previous year: EUR 383 million) and adjusted EBITDA of between EUR 10 and EUR 15 million. Adjusted for start-up losses, adjusted EBITDA is expected to be between EUR 34 and EUR 39 million (previous year: EUR 54 million). Until now, the management – subject to the impact of ongoing geopolitical uncertainties such as the Middle East conflict, with associated cost increases for chemicals, timber, energy and transport – had anticipated a moderate year-on-year increase in revenues and adjusted EBITDA. Invitation to a webcast for bondholders The Homann Holzwerkstoffe GmbH invites the bondholders of the corporate bond (ISIN: NO0013536169, WKN: A4DFTR) to an Investor webcast on August 19, 2026 at 10.00 am.
