SIXT SE relies on ChargeOne for charging infrastructureIssuer: heinemann group SE / Key word(s): Incoming Orders SIXT SE relies on ChargeOne for charging infrastructure
Munich, April 04, 2023 - ChargeOne, specialist for e-mobility charging solutions and brand of Claus Heinemann Elektroanlagen GmbH, is accompanying SIXT into electromobility. Thus, ChargeOne will install more than 1,000 additional charging points at SIXT stations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland by the end of 2023. This will make it possible to recharge SIXT's growing electric rental car fleet directly at the station after returning the vehicle. Classic wallboxes and DC fast chargers will be installed. In addition to the construction (including earthworks) and commissioning, ChargeOne will also take over the service, maintenance and operation of the charging infrastructure in the coming years. The major contract - shortly after the company's 120th anniversary - is a strategic milestone for the heinemann Group: only at the end of 2021 did Munich's oldest specialist electrical company bundle its activities relating to charging infrastructure under the ChargeOne brand and significantly expand the division in terms of personnel in order to take advantage of the growth opportunities in the market and stir it up with innovative concepts. As a Charge Point Operator (CPO), ChargeOne offers commercial customers throughout Germany a wide range of services, from classic purchases to flexible "Charging as a Service" models with full service for the installation and operation of charging points. "As a specialist electrical company, we are predestined to make a decisive contribution to the expansion of electromobility in Germany and beyond. We are very pleased that SIXT has now also opted for our experience. This order is an important step on our way to being one of the leading German charging infrastructure operators with 150,000 installed charging points in 2030," said Robert Klug, CEO of heinemann Group SE. "By partnering with us, companies can continue to focus fully on their core competencies. We can take care of all issues related to charging for customers and employees - such as installation, maintenance and even operation, including electricity purchasing as well as billing." Today, the company specializes in technical building equipment, building automation and digitalization in building construction - commercial construction, public construction, residential construction (housing estates, special/luxury properties). The range of services extends from electrical installations, network and communication solutions, building services to smart building as well as service and maintenance. With more than 500 employees, the company is active throughout Germany and internationally and is repeatedly involved in the realization of lighthouse projects such as currently the new high-tech arena SAP Garden in Munich. Since 2021, the electromobility business unit has been bundled under the ChargeOne brand. As a Charge Point operator with flexible Charging as a Service models, it offers a complete service from the installation and operation of charging infrastructure to the sale of electricity for commercial customers - e.g., from the hotel industry, industrial companies, wholesale and retail trade, and the housing industry. In addition, ChargeOne also offers attractive rental and purchase models. In 2021, Claus Heinemann achieved a total output of around 51 million euros.
