Appointment of Mikael Frenkian as Chief Executive Officer of Baikowski

Poisy, May 28, 2026 - 8:45am - Baikowski® (ALBKK - ISIN : FR0013384369), a century-old leading producer of specialty industrial minerals, announces the appointment of Mikael Frenkian as Chief Executive Officer, effective June 1, 2026.

At its meeting held on 27 May 2026 under the chairmanship of François-Xavier Entremont, the Board of Directors decided to appoint Mikael Frenkian as Chief Executive Officer of the Group.

With extensive experience in international industry and the management of technology-driven businesses, Mikael Frenkian will bring to Baikowski his operational expertise, his deep understanding of demanding industrial environments and his ability to support the development across strategic markets.

François-Xavier Entremont, Chairman of the Board of Directors, stated: “In line with the commitment made by the Board of Directors, we conducted a thorough selection process to identify the leader best suited to support Baikowski in its next stage of development. Through his career achievements, his understanding of our businesses and his proven leadership skills, Mikael Frenkian has all the qualities required to successfully lead this mission. About Mikael Frenkian

Mikael Frenkian, 51 years old, has more than 25 years of experience in international industry and in managing technology-driven and industrial businesses. Since 2021, he has served as General Manager of Infra Red Solutions business line within the Umicore Group, where he oversaw the development of innovative infrared optics and filter solutions serving a wide range of industrial sectors.

Prior to this role, he held several senior management positions at Imerys, notably serving as China Industrial Director for four years, managing three industrial sites and contributing to improvements in profitability and market share. He also held Business Unit Director positions, supporting business growth through innovation and commercial development initiatives.

Before joining Imerys, Mikael Frenkian worked at Kerneos, where he led operational strategies across several international sites and implemented industrial performance improvement programs.

He began his career at Holcim Group (formerly LafargeHolcim), progressively moving from process engineering roles to industrial development and plant management responsibilities.

A graduate engineer from Supélec, Mikael Frenkian also holds an Executive MBA from HEC.
