Daldrup & Söhne AG has been awarded a contract for two additional deep geothermal wells in Aschheim

• Contract value of approximately EUR 16–18 million

Pullach / Ascheberg, July 13, 2026 – Daldrup & Söhne AG ("Daldrup") (ISIN DE0007830572), drilling technology and geothermal specialist, has received a contract from AFK Geothermie GmbH ("AFK"), Aschheim, to drill two deep geothermal wells with a contract value of approximately EUR 16–18 million.

The drilling of the two wells, each planned to reach a depth of approximately 3,700 metres for the construction of a deep geothermal doublet, is scheduled to commence immediately after completion of the drilling operations currently being carried out by Daldrup for Amperland Thermalwärme GmbH in Olching. According to the current schedule, the drilling is to be carried out from the end of 2026 until mid-2027

Since 2009, AFK has been supplying around 1,700 households and businesses in the municipalities of Aschheim, Feldkirchen and Kirchheim near Munich with geothermal heat as part of an inter-municipal geothermal project. Depending on weather conditions, geothermal energy currently covers around 60 to 70 per cent of the heat demand of customers connected to the AFK district heating network. The second geothermal doublet to be constructed by Daldrup & Söhne AG will unlock an additional thermal output of around 18 MW. This will increase AFK's heat generation capacity to around 74 MW and create the conditions for connecting up to 1,200 additional households and businesses. The share of geothermal energy in the heat supply is thereby expected to increase to up to 95 per cent.
