Avolta extends long-term travel retail contracts across four Mexican airports

08.09.2026 / 18:30 CET/CEST

Avolta AG (SIX: AVOL) has further strengthened its partnership with Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacífico (GAP) through long-term travel retail contract extensions across Guadalajara, Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos and Bajío International Airports in Mexico.

The extensions secure Avolta's continued presence at four of Mexico's most important business and leisure travel gateways, which together welcome more than 30 million passengers annually. The agreement reinforces Avolta's position in one of its most established and strategically important markets in Latin America.

In addition to securing Avolta's existing operations, the agreement supports future growth opportunities through planned terminal expansions at Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta airports. Avolta is expected to expand its commercial footprint in both developments, including a minimum of three additional duty-free stores in each new terminal as they become operational.

Across the four airports, Avolta will continue to offer a retail proposition combining globally recognized brands with locally relevant products and experiences. The stores will showcase key duty-free categories alongside a carefully curated assortment reflecting Mexico's heritage, culture and gastronomy, creating a strong sense of place for domestic and international travelers alike.

The agreement builds on a partnership between Avolta and GAP that spans almost three decades and reflects a shared commitment to enhancing the airport experience while further developing the commercial potential of Mexico's growing aviation market.

Enrique Urioste, President & CEO Latin America & Caribbean at Avolta, commented: “These extensions reinforce our long-standing partnership with GAP and strengthen our presence across four of Mexico's most important airport locations. Building on nearly 30 years of collaboration, we will continue investing in innovative retail concepts that combine international brands with the best of Mexico. We are particularly pleased to secure opportunities within the future terminal developments at Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta, providing a strong platform for continued growth in the years ahead."
