Encavis acquires 80‑megawatt Vietlübbe wind farm in GermanyEQS-News: Encavis GmbH / Key word(s): Acquisition/Expansion Corporate News Encavis acquires 80‑megawatt Vietlübbe wind farm in Germany Hamburg, 7 May 2026 – Encavis, a next‑generation independent power producer (IPP) based in Hamburg, Germany, has further expanded its German wind portfolio with the acquisition of the Vietlübbe onshore wind farm from the UKA Group. The project, with an installed capacity of around 80 megawatts, is the largest wind energy acquisition in Encavis’ German portfolio to date and represents another key step in the company’s growth strategy. The wind farm is located in the Ludwigslust‑Parchim district in Mecklenburg‑Western Pomerania. It comprises 14 wind turbines and has been in operation since October/November 2025. Expected annual electricity generation is around 200 gigawatt hours. The wind farm therefore makes a significant contribution to climate‑friendly power supply and to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. “Across Europe, we are building large‑scale renewable generation assets to ensure a reliable supply of green energy for industrial customers,” says Mario Schirru, CEO of Encavis. “By linking generation with market access and flexibility, our integrated approach creates predictable and competitive pathways for decarbonising industrial value chains.” With this acquisition, Encavis underlines its role as a long‑term‑oriented operator of wind and solar parks while at the same time strengthening the expansion of renewable energies and regional value creation in Mecklenburg‑Western Pomerania. Encavis is a next‑generation independent power producer (IPP) enabling a flexible and resilient energy system by integrating renewable generation, battery storage, and market‑oriented optimisation to deliver affordable clean energy for industrial customers. The company operates a broadly diversified portfolio of onshore wind farms, ground‑mounted solar parks, and battery storage systems across 13 European countries, including Germany, Italy, and Spain. In addition, Encavis offers institutional investors attractive opportunities to participate in renewable energy assets. Its subsidiary, Stern Energy, further strengthens the portfolio as a Europe‑wide specialist in technical services for photovoltaic systems. With a total installed capacity of around 4.9 gigawatts, Encavis makes a meaningful contribution to sustainable energy supply and supports the achievement of Europe’s climate goals.
