Mersen selected to supply Ford and Leapmotor with fuses for electric vehicles

PRESS RELEASE

MERSEN SELECTED TO SUPPLY FORD AND LEAPMOTOR WITH FUSES FOR ELECTRIC VEHICLES

  • Contributes to the performance and reliability of electric vehicles
  • Potential revenue of approximately 10 million euros over the duration of the programs
  • Recognizes Mersen's technological excellence and the strength of its global industrial footprint

PARIS, JULY 20, 2026 – Mersen (Euronext FR0000039620 – MRN), a global expert in electrical power and advanced materials, announced today that it has been selected to supply fuses for electric and hybrid vehicles manufactured by Ford and Leapmotor. Together, these two opportunities represent a potential cumulative revenue of approximately 10 million euros.

Ford has selected Mersen to supply a fuse integrated into a battery disconnect module for several of the brand’s hybrid models in the United States. In addition, Mersen will supply Leapmotor with fuses also intended for battery protection in the company’s electric vehicles.

Salvador Lamas, CEO of Mersen, stated: “We are proud that Ford and Leapmotor have placed their trust in Mersen, which demonstrates recognition of our expertise in electrical protection solutions for electric vehicles. These two successes reflect our ability to support global automakers through our technological excellence and our local industrial presence. In an electric vehicle market that remains mixed, these successes strengthen our confidence in the sector’s medium-term outlook and confirm our strong positioning to capitalize on future opportunities.”
