Polaris Renewable Energy Announces Q3 2026 ResultsTORONTO, ON / ACCESS Newswire / November 5, 2026 / Polaris Renewable Energy Inc. (TSX:PIF) ("Polaris Renewable Energy" or the "Company"), is pleased to report its financial and operating results for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2026. This earnings release should be read in conjunction with the Company's consolidated financial statements and management's discussion and analysis, which are available on the Company's website at www.PolarisREI.com and have been posted on SEDAR+ at www.sedarplus.ca. The dollar figures below are denominated in US Dollars unless noted otherwise. HIGHLIGHTS
OPERATING AND FINANCIAL OVERVIEW
During the three months ended September 30, 2026, consolidated energy production totaled 175,791 MWh, compared to 181,235 MWh in the same period of 2025, representing a decrease of 5,445 MWh (3.0%). Production in Nicaragua was in line with expectations for the quarter, although year-to-date generation remained affected by major maintenance activities earlier in the year. Puerto Rico delivered an exceptionally strong quarter, partially offsetting lower hydroelectric generation in Peru and Ecuador, where hydrological conditions were affected by El Niño following exceptionally favorable water availability in 2025. In the Dominican Republic, grid curtailment improved compared to the first half of 2026 but remained elevated, averaging 18% during the quarter compared to approximately 7% in prior years. For the nine months ended September 30, 2026, consolidated production totaled 580,238 MWh, compared to 613,524 MWh in the prior-year period, representing a decrease of 33,286 MWh (5.4%). Overall, the Company's geographically and technologically diversified portfolio continued to mitigate the impact of localized resource variability and operational events across individual assets. Despite lower generation, quarterly revenue remained broadly consistent with the prior-year period at $19.0 million, supported by favorable generation mix and higher contracted electricity prices in certain markets. The Company continued to generate positive operating cash flows, totaling $12.1 million for the quarter and $27.2 million year-to-date, reinforcing the underlying cash-generating capacity of its operating portfolio. "Our third quarter results demonstrated the strength of our diversified portfolio, with revenue remaining stable despite lower consolidated generation, supported by strong wind performance in Puerto Rico and continued solid contributions from our operating assets," said Marc Murnaghan, Chief Executive Officer of Polaris Renewable Energy. "While year to date production has been affected by resource variability, scheduled major maintenance and operational challenges in certain markets, curtailment in the Dominican Republic moderated during the quarter, and our portfolio continued to generate solid operating cash flows. Importantly, we made significant progress on our growth strategy, completing the acquisition of three solar and battery storage projects in Mexico and advancing the contractual framework with CFE. Alongside these advances, development activities continued on our battery storage project in Puerto Rico. Together, these initiatives support Polaris' next phase of growth." About Polaris Renewable Energy Inc. Polaris Renewable Energy Inc. is a Canadian publicly traded company engaged in the acquisition, development, and operation of renewable energy projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. We are a high-performing and financially sound contributor to the energy transition. The Company's portfolio includes a geothermal plant (~82 MW), four run-of river hydroelectric plants (~39 MW), three solar (photovoltaic) projects (~35 MW) and an onshore wind park (~26 MW). The Company's development portfolio also includes three projects in Mexico comprising approximately 250 MWdc of solar generation capacity and 61.6 MW / 192.0 MWh of battery energy storage, currently in the planning stage and progressing toward financial close. The development portfolio also includes a battery energy storage system for the Company's Punta Lima project in Puerto Rico, which will consist of a single 35.7 MW system with an 8-hour duration and will serve the Storage Capability of 71.4 MW under the SO1 Agreement through two four-hour energy delivery blocks.
