Recticel Group included in Top 100 Financial Times list of Europe’s Climate LeadersRecticel Group included in Top 100 Financial Times list of Europe’s Climate LeadersPRESS RELEASE Recticel Group has been included for the first time in the Financial Times list of Europe’s Climate Leaders, ranking 89th among 600 European companies recognised for their progress in reducing greenhouse gas emissions intensity. Within the Construction & Building Materials sector, Recticel Group is ranked 10th out of 48 companies represented. This strong performance underscores the Group’s commitment to future-smart insulation and its ongoing efforts to support the transition towards a more energy-efficient, lower-carbon built environment. The annual list of Europe’s Climate Leaders is compiled by the Financial Times in collaboration with data provider Statista. The list highlights European companies that have achieved the greatest reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions intensity over a five-year assessment period. Companies are also evaluated on their sustainability reporting, qualitative disclosure of Scope 3 emissions and alignment with recognised climate initiatives and frameworks. Reducing the carbon footprint is one of the six strategic pillars of ELEVATE 2030, Recticel Group’s blueprint for value-added growth. The Group reached a major milestone in its sustainability journey with the commissioning of its EUR 13 million industrial-scale recycled polyol plant in Belgium, announced on 13 May 2026. The facility will convert 4,000 tonnes of post-production polyurethane waste into high-quality recycled polyol for the closed-loop manufacturing of new insulation boards, significantly reducing the product’s carbon footprint. Stefaan Debusschere, Recticel Group CEO, commented: “Being recognised for the first time as one of Europe’s Climate Leaders by the Financial Times is an important milestone. This distinction reflects the collective commitment and continuous efforts of our teams to drive sustainable growth at scale and accelerate the transition towards more energy-efficient and circular building solutions.” About the Recticel GroupRecticel Group is a leading insulation company headquartered in Belgium, with operations in eight countries across Europe and the US. It offers smart insulation solutions that advance a carbon-free economy and a better quality of life. Our Insulation Boards division provides high-performance insulation solutions to meet the growing demand for energy efficiency and sustainability in buildings. The insulation boards are marketed by Recticel Insulation, our vacuum insulated panels by Turvac, and our bespoke solutions for tapered and flat roofs by Gradient. Our Insulated Panels division specialises in premium quality products for the building envelope sector. Trimo enables the highest aesthetic standards and extends architectural capabilities with its mineral wool insulated panels and modular space solutions. Conventional mineral wool and PIR insulated panels are manufactured by Rex Panels & Profiles. The recently acquired Miclar and Kuras focus on downstream services for the insulated panels market. Within our Acoustic Solutions division, Soundcoat provides highly specialised acoustic engineering capabilities for the aerospace and aviation market, as well as for OEMs and the heavy-duty and transport industries. At the end of 2025, Recticel Group employed 1,311 people and achieved sales of EUR 655.1 million. The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) approved Recticel Group’s near-term targets for the reduction of Scope 1, 2 & 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 (from base year 2021) and net-zero targets for 2050. The Group is on the CDP A List for Climate Change and holds an EcoVadis Silver medal. Recticel Group is included in the Financial Times list of Europe’s Climate Leaders 2026.
