Springer Nature appoints Patric Somlo as Chief Financial Officer

Springer Nature today announced the appointment of Patric Somlo as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and member of the company’s Management Board. Patric joins Springer Nature from Lonza Group AG, a publicly listed global provider of development and manufacturing services to pharmaceutical and biotech companies, where he is currently Senior Vice President Corporate Finance. Previously, he held roles in private equity, management consulting, and investment banking. A computer scientist by training, Patric holds an MSc in Computer Science with a focus on machine learning from ETH Zurich and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Stefan von Holtzbrinck, Chairman of Springer Nature’s Supervisory Board, said:

He will join on 1^st November and succeeds Alexandra Dambeck who, as was announced earlier in the year, is leaving to take up a new role external to Springer Nature.
