Koblenz, November 5, 2026 - While preparing its annual financial statements for the financial year from October 1, 2025, to September 30, 2026 ("FY2026"), Stabilus SE (WKN: STAB1L, ISIN: DE000STAB1L8) today identified a goodwill impairment of around €67 million. The impairments relate to the Americas region and reflect demand that was weaker than expected in parts of that market. The impairment tests have not yet been completed and have not been subject to a final audit.
The impairments are non-cash and are recognized as special items that reduce EBIT for the fourth quarter and full fiscal year 2026 but are excluded from adjusted EBIT. They do not affect liquidity or adjusted free cash flow.
According to preliminary figures, EBIT in the fourth quarter of FY2026 is expected to be €−48.1 million, significantly below the market expectation[2] of €2.4 million and the previous year's figure of €5.5 million. For the full fiscal year, EBIT is expected to be €63.7 million (FY 2025: €84.3 million), which is also significantly below the market expectation[2] of €114.2 million.
According to preliminary figures, revenue in the fourth quarter of the 2026 fiscal year is €302.1 million, around 13.0% above the market expectation[2] of €267.4 million. Adjusted EBIT[1] for the fourth quarter of FY2026 is expected to be €28.9 million, exceeding the market expectation[2] of €21.9 million by around 32.0%. The adjusted EBIT margin[1] reached 9.6% in the fourth quarter of FY2026, around 18.5% above the market expectation[2] of 8.1%. Adjusted free cash flow[1] is expected to be €39.5 million, around 16.7% below the market expectation[2] of €47.4 million.
In the 2026 fiscal year, Stabilus generated revenue of €1,197.6 million based on preliminary figures, an adjusted EBIT margin[1] of 10.4% and adjusted free cash flow[1] of €96.1 million. Stabilus SE thus fulfilled its updated guidance for FY2026 (revenue of c. €1.15 billion, adjusted EBIT margin of c. 10%, adjusted free cash flow of c. €90 million).
In light of these developments, Stabilus SE’s Management Board also decided today to propose a FY2026 dividend of €0.22 per share to the Supervisory Board. The proposed dividend would thus be significantly below the FY2025 dividend of €0.35 per share.
To provide further details on the preliminary results, Stabilus will host an analyst and investor web conference on Friday, November 6, 2026, at 09:00 CET (webcast: https://www.webcast-eqs.com/stabilus-202611, telephone dial-in: https://webcast.meetyoo.de/register/PvOidn2pdr7v).
Stabilus will publish the final figures with the annual report for FY2026 on December 7, 2026.
