Sunday Hotels Appoints New Cluster General Managers to Strengthen Local Leadership and Operations in Germany

Michal Michalowski and Mohammad Dudeen take up cluster general manager roles as Sunday Hotels deepens local management across its 35-hotel German portfolio.

Berlin, Germany, 24th August 2026
Sunday Hotels today announced the appointment of two Cluster General Managers in Germany, Michal Michalowski and Mohammad Dudeen as the company strengthens its local operating structure and deepens on-the-ground leadership across its growing German hotels portfolio.

Together, the two appointments will cover 5 of Sunday Hotels in Germany across 3 regional clusters namely Rheinsberg, Saarland & Offenburg. Each Cluster General Manager will be overseeing a cluster of 2-3 properties.

Michal Michalowski takes on an expanded role as Cluster General Manager for Rheinsberg Hotels, overseeing three hotels Sunday Resort Marina Wolfsbruch Apartment, Sunday Resort Hafendorf Rheinsberg Hotel & Sunday Schwielowsee Resort- Hotel. With more than 15 years of hotel operations experience across Germany, Poland and the Baltic region, Michal has played a key role in integrating the newly added German properties and implementing Sunday Hotels’ common operating standards across the portfolio.

Mohammad Dudeen joins as Cluster General Manager for Saarland & Offenburg, with responsibility for two hotels Sunday Hotel Saarbrücken Süd & Offenburg City Hotel by Belvilla. He brings more than 28 years of hotel operations experience across Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Germany and the wider European market. In his new role, he will focus on strengthening service consistency, improving guest satisfaction scores, and driving operational performance across the cluster.

Puneet Yadav, SVP & Head of Hotels – Germany & UK (Sunday & Belvilla Hotels), said, “Our strategy in Germany is simple: strong hotels are run locally, by people who know their teams, their guests and their markets. As our portfolio has grown to 35 hotels, the right next step is to deepen our local leadership and give experienced operators clear ownership of their hotels. Michal and Dudeen are exactly the kind of leaders who make that model work close to the ground, high standards and focused on running excellent hotels day in, day out. These appointments are an investment in stronger operations and in the local teams who deliver for our guests every day.”

Michal Michalowski, Cluster General Manager, Sunday Hotels, added, “What excites me about this role is the chance to build something lasting with local teams. Great hotels are made on the floor at reception, in the kitchen, in housekeeping by people who take pride in the guest experience. My priority is to back our teams, keep raising our service standards, and make sure every guest, in every one of our hotels, gets the same quality and warmth they expect.”

Mohammad Dudeen, Cluster General Manager, Sunday Hotels, said, “Consistency is what guests remember. My focus is getting the everyday basics right, so guests across the cluster feel the same quality and care on every stay.”

Under Sunday Hotels’ cluster operating model, each cluster general manager leads a defined group of hotels within a region and holds end-to-end responsibility for their performance. The role spans day-to-day operations and service quality across the cluster, guest experience and review standards, commercial and revenue performance, team leadership and development, and the consistent rollout of common operating and technology systems. Cluster General Managers also act as senior local points of contact for their hotel teams and for property-level owner relationships, and report into the company’s Germany leadership.

The appointments follow Sunday Hotels’ recent expansion in Germany. The company added 24 hotels and resorts to its portfolio, taking a total to 35 across the country. The expanded portfolio spans business and leisure destinations, including Berlin, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Köln (Cologne), Leipzig, Nürnberg (Nuremberg), Hannover, Bonn, Augsburg and Wiesbaden, and operates locally through Belvilla Deutschland GmbH.
