VINCI Autoroutes and VINCI Airports traffic in August 2026

I- Change in VINCI Autoroutes’ intercity networks traffic

In August, light vehicle traffic declined by -6.2%, reflecting an unfavourable calendar effect* and the sharp rise in fuel prices. Heavy vehicle traffic, meanwhile, rose by +2.4%, benefiting from one additional working day compared with August 2025.

*The main weekend of back-and-forth between “July holidaymakers” and “August holidaymakers” began on Friday, July 31 in 2026 (compared with Friday, August 1 in 2025). In addition, August 15 (a public holiday) fell on a Saturday this year (compared with a Friday in 2025).

II- Change in VINCI Airports passenger traffic¹

In August, total traffic at VINCI Airports was slightly down (−0.8%), reflecting contrasting trends. Many airports in the network continued to benefit from a good growth momentum, particularly in Portugal, Belgrade, Budapest, Edinburgh, Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Cabo Verde. Conversely, geopolitical disruptions continued to weigh, to varying degrees, on traffic at some airports, in Japan for example.
